SAGINAW— Today, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) sent a letter to the General Services Administration (GSA), demanding clarity on the future of the Social Security Administration field office in Saginaw.
We are currently awaiting guidance from the Appropriations Committee on the allowance of and guidance for FY26 Community Project Funding requests. WASHINGTON— Today, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) and Congressman Zach Nunn (IA-03) introduced the bipartisan Social Security Overpayment Relief Act to limit the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) overpayment lookback period to ten years. This bill protects Social Security recipients from having to pay back funds that arise from overpayment errors on the part of SSA.


FLINT— Today, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) and Congressman Randy Feenstra (IA-04) introduced the Foreign Agricultural Restrictions to Maintain Local Agriculture and National Defense (FARMLAND) Act, bipartisan legislation to authorize the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) to review all purchases or leases of American farmland by foreign entities that exceed $5,000,000 or 320 acres.
