Congresswoman McDonald Rivet Releases 2025 Year-End Report

Monday, December 22, 2025

FLINT— Today, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) released her year-end report highlighting major accomplishments, work, and deliverables for mid-Michigan in her first year in office. That work includes her unrelenting focus on lowering costs, pragmatic work across the aisle, and major deliverables for mid-Michigan communities and families.

“When I was sworn in to Congress, I promised to deliver real results for mid-Michigan. There’s a lot of problems with the way Washington works, but we haven’t let that stop us from fighting for what matters most — lower costs and a fair shot for working families,” said Congresswoman McDonald Rivet. “This report is an in-depth look at the first year of our efforts, and I’m excited to continue the work next year to make mid-Michigan stronger and more affordable.”

Major highlights in the year-end report include:

  • A relentless focus on lowering costs, taking on fights to lower health care costs, making groceries more affordable, and strengthening Social Security.
  • Mid-Michigan wins, including saving the Saginaw Social Security field office from closure and securing funding through 2026 for the Flint Registry.
  • Most bipartisan House Member from Michigan, according to CQ Vote Watch.
  • Over $9 million returned to constituents through 840 closed constituent cases with federal agencies like the IRS, Social Security, the VA, and more.
  • 19 bills introduced, 100% of which are bipartisan.
  • 323 bills co-sponsored, 87% of which are bipartisan.
  • Two offices opened in mid-Michigan.
  • Fighting for over $30 million in federal funding for community projects across mid-Michigan – $4,346,000 of which has been secured.
  • Taking on corruption, including releasing an anti-corruption agenda, voting to release the Epstein files, and condemning shady practices from a member of her own party.
  • Serving as an independent voice for mid-Michigan, including repealing California’s EV mandate, supporting law enforcement and border security, and standing up to China.
