WASHINGTON— Today, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) announced new federal grant funding to support runway reconstruction at MBS International Airport in Saginaw County.
The $4,657,313 grant – issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation – would fund the reconstruction of Taxiway A, including rehabilitating approximately 6,400 feet of runway and updating the runway’s lighting and signage.

The bipartisan legislation instructs the U.S. Coast Guard to develop a plan to design and build a new icebreaker for the Great Lakes, and analyze the effectiveness of the current icebreaking fleet.
