SAGINAW, Mich. — Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet celebrated the grand opening of her new district office in Saginaw Tuesday.
This marks the second office for the congresswoman in the district, following the opening of her first office in Flint on January 3.

FLINT, Mich. — The Flint Bishop Airport has received a $4.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation for infrastructure repairs and redevelopment.
U.S. Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet announced the funding in a press release Monday, June 25, 2025.
“Flint Bishop Airport is an economic multiplier for our region, making sure passengers and commercial goods can travel quickly and smoothly,” said Rivet. “I am thrilled to see this money coming to Flint.”

FLINT— Today, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) announced new federal grant funding to support critical infrastructure repairs and redevelopment at Bishop International Airport in Flint.
The $4,971,600 grant – issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation – would assist with the reconstruction of approximately 80,500 square feet of outdated terminal roof and gutters. This funding would also help replace existing terminal directional signage to support passenger and baggage movement.
FLINT— This week, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) outlined a comprehensive strategy to combat the opioid epidemic, while also increasing border security and supporting local law enforcement. The Congresswoman laid out her vision in a letter to the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) as the organization develops its 2026 National Drug Control Strategy.
