When costs are already through the roof, the last thing working parents or seniors need is even higher health care costs. But that's exactly what we expect to happen since Congress failed to extend the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) enhanced premium tax credits before they expired, and in January, nearly $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts will take effect as a result of Republicans' so-called “Big Beautiful Bill.”

It's completely unacceptable. I voted against those Medicaid cuts, co-sponsored a bill to extend the ACA tax credits, and brought our communities together to stand up against out-of-touch Washington policies.
