WEYI/WSMH: Interview: Congresswoman McDonald Rivet on Her First 100 Days in Office

WASHINGTON - Freshman Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet recently marked her first 100 days in office on Sunday.

She succeeded former Congressman Dan Kildee in representing Michigan's 8th District at the start of this year.

In just over three months, McDonald Rivet says she has returned more than $4.5 Million to families and seniors by helping them navigate issues with the IRS, Social Security and the VA.

She also has been busy working on legislation to lower costs for families on everything from prescription drugs to eggs.

Mid-Michigan NOW's Mike Woolfolk spoke with Rep. McDonald Rivet, asking her about her first three months in office.
