WASHINGTON— Today, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) released the following statement after helping pass a War Powers Resolution through the House of Representatives to curb the Administration’s activity in Iran.

“Five months into starting a war with Iran, President Trump has refused to share with the American people his goals and endgame. Instead, we get erratic broken promises and empty threats while he chooses to send brave service members into harm's way, spend billions of taxpayer dollars, and drive up costs back home. Today, the House voted with the vast majority of Americans to demand an end to the reckless and unstrategic war. President Trump needs to listen.”
